The Brand Team at Clarks were inspired to raise funds and awareness for CLIC Sargent - the UK's leading Children's Cancer Charity. After 4 year old Lily, the daughter of a colleague, contracted cancer the decision was made to pool the talents of the Brand team to create a completely original children's story book for under 5's.

All proceeds of the project will go directly to help CLIC Sargent in their work providing essential medical and emotional support for children with cancer and their families.

Starting with a group brainstorm at 5.30 on Thursday 2nd November the team worked through the night using their creative skills to write and illustrate the story.

Some team members worked in collaboration with Maslands Printers to prepare the book for printing and publishing. The creative team were supported by people planning the book launch and generating awareness for the project whilst other brand team workers held fundraising activities throughout Clarks Head office.

The event finished at 5.30pm on Friday the 3rd Nov with a team party and group story telling session using the finished product.

The book is on sale now. The Clarks team hope that the book will become a long term source of fundraising for CLIC Sargent.
